Adding and deleting payment methods

Add a payment method 

 Card

1. In the main menu, select Wallet. 

2. Select Add New > Card.

3. Enter your card or account details. 

4. Select Add Card. 

5. Your payment method is now added, pending verification. See below on how to Verify you card within your Wallet.
    

Bank Account

Follow the below steps if you would like us to direct debit your bank account for payments processed through pay.com.au. If you will be using PayID, you do not need to link your bank account to your Wallet. More information on PayID can be viewed here.

1. In the main menu, select Wallet. 

2. Select Add and choose a payment method: Bank Account. 

3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add your bank account using Basiq, our open banking software provider. For more information on Basiq, click here.

4. Define a transaction limit (This step only applies if you are using Same-day payments with PayTo)

   1. Your transaction limit must be less than your daily limit on your bank account. Contact your bank to find out your daily limit.

   2. This limit will become the transaction limit. You will be able to make unlimited payments, as long as each individual payment is under this transaction limit.

   3. This limit will only be applicable if your account is PayTo enabled.

   4. For information about availability of PayTo, please refer to this link: PayTo Bank Availability 

5. Select Continue:
   a) If an account is PayTo enabled, you will see instructions about how to accept the agreement in your banking application.
   b) If an account is not PayTo enabled, you will be able to add your bank account by following the instructions and connecting to Basiq.

6. On success, the account will appear in the PayWallet.

IMPORTANT: Please check card or account information is correct. pay.com.au is not liable for losses if incorrect information is entered. 

Verify your card

For security purposes, you will need to verify your credit card before you can use it to make payments.  

1. In the main menu, select Wallet. 

2. The unverified card, will be greyed out, select Verify > Confirm.

3. Log into your card application or internet banking and make a note of the verification amounts: 

• Credit Card - incurs two minimal pending charges (these will be reversed in 7 days). You may also be prompted here to enter a one time password that will be either sent to your card's mobile application or your phone itself via SMS.

4. Select Verify once more, and enter the verification Amounts 1 and 2 in the same order as they appear in your credit card application or statment of pending payments.

6. Select Confirm. 

7. Your credit card is now verified and ready for you to make payments. 

Note: Credit card verification amounts are typically instant. If the 2 micro transactions do not appear within your card application or statement, contact your card issuer to supply the transactions to you directly. 

Delete a payment method 

1. In the main menu, select Wallet.  

2. Select the kebab (3 dots) menu on the payment method you wish to delete. 

3. Select Delete > Confirm Delete.
